I liked the vibe and the nearby activities; it’s a great spot. The hedges were a bit trimmed, so we didn’t get as much privacy as we’d hoped.

The atmosphere, public facilities, and stunning views were enjoyable, and I recommend visiting during the rainy season; my September trip was great. The downside was the high number of insects inside the accommodation and the lack of cleanliness, with waste and debris in the rooms.

We stayed in a pool villa and it was amazing.

We spent three nights at Burden to explore the Phangnga area while traveling from Phuket to Krabi. It was a nice way to break up our trip and soak in the beautiful scenery and nature. The rooms were spacious and fully equipped. The lodging was simple, clean, and comfortable. The private pool was a great way to relax after morning sightseeing. Breakfast was decent, with enough options and fresh produce for our needs. The place is a good little spot and reasonably priced. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to see the area, but be realistic: it’s not luxurious, yet it meets all our needs and more. A car is essential in this area.

We stayed in a charming villa that has a central pool and a view over the pond, set amid stunning nature and dramatic rocky peaks. There’s also a large communal pool with a slide for kids, and the staff were genuinely friendly and quick to help, while breakfast was excellent. Wildlife was everywhere – we saw monitor lizards, all sorts of smaller reptiles and even a scorpion. When we pointed out an issue, the team responded promptly. On the downside, the price felt high for what we got; the villa looked a bit dated and worn, and families with young children should note that the two bedrooms are separate units rather than being under one roof. The resort is far from everything and ride‑hailing services don’t work here, so we had to go back to the hotel just to catch a taxi.
