The beds were very good and the apartment was very fresh, with a large balcony and comfortable chairs that were cleaned daily and the beds made; the location was quiet, but walking down the street put us right by restaurants, a bakery, and a supermarket. The beach was a 5‑minute walk. Sophia was the sunshine in the house, always cheerful and a hard worker. The shower was small but pleasant.

The spot was decent, and they swapped towels every day and kept the room tidy. The shower cubicle was cramped, sharing a toilet pan, and the fixture kept falling off; when you bent to pick it up you’d hit the toilet or sink, so you only got lukewarm water at best. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Upon arrival we had to clean a filthy fridge and its drawers. There was a random set of crockery, just one bowl, no corkscrew until we asked for one. The balcony chairs were broken. The kitchen was unusable: only two hotplates, no prep area, no indoor table, no work surface. Basically it should just be a double room. It seems to be resting on past praise and needs to improve dramatically. I wouldn’t return.

We stayed in room N°7 at the back of the building, with a small terrace overlooking the street – the street isn’t too busy at night, which is a plus! There’s air‑conditioning and a fridge, plus a tray with kettle, cups, tea bags, instant coffee, jars of jam, honey and butter, and sometimes other surprises! The bedding is firm and comfortable. The place is extremely clean. Sophia, the owner, is very friendly though discreet. The location is close to shops, the port and the beach. The neighbor’s air‑conditioning can be annoying, so you end up sleeping with the door closed and the AC on most nights. The shower is cramped.

I had a fantastic experience at To Steno. The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive, and his genuine hospitality made my stay more enjoyable and memorable. The property was spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautifully maintained. Its location is excellent, making it very convenient for exploring the area while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. I would happily return and highly recommend To Steno to anyone looking for a warm, clean and welcoming place to stay
