The staff greeted us warmly and gave excellent tips for making the most of our stay—restaurant suggestions, volcano info, and even advice for the rest of our time in Réunion. Breakfast was ready the night before, letting us grab it before an early hike up the volcano. The common room and kitchen let us eat on site if we wanted. The only downside was that we couldn’t adjust the heating directly in the room, and the humidity was noticeable.
The house itself is charming, tucked in a small garden. Its location is ideal for hiking Piton de la Fournaise and nearby spots like Grand Bassin. The host is kind and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, especially since it’s prepared the night before and you can eat it whenever you like. Our room was quite cozy, with heating that works until about 9 pm, which was essential in winter. The only drawback was the limited food options; nearby restaurants are a short drive away but close early and aren’t open every day. You can cook in the kitchen, and there’s a supermarket just a 5‑minute drive.
“Séjour agréable et reposant. Accueil sympathique”
The place was simple, which I liked.
“Très bien”
Sylvie gave us a very warm welcome, the volcano is close by, and breakfast was good. No complaints.
“Tres bon sejour”
The guest room was close to the volcano, and the living room and bedrooms had a cozy vibe. The kitchen equipment was good. Nothing else to note.
