The facilities were in “season‑close” mode, yet the rates were high‑season. The café was shut, the garden was very dirty, and there was no front desk.

The hotel sits in the town centre and the building itself is a quirky historic structure. We struggled to locate the reception and had trouble parking our car.

The setting is nice. There was no staff on site; they called us when we arrived, and even though we were allowed to check in an hour before 17:00, we had to help several foreigners get in because they didn’t know how to access the hotel. The suite is uncomfortable because the ceiling is very low and bulging.
