The staff treated me exceptionally well, the meals were very delicious, and the room was spotless. The open‑air bath was set to the sound of a babbling river and birds, so much so that I started looking for speakers, thinking it was background music. Bathing in the fresh‑green surroundings with bird song was simply the best. However, the outdoor bath had no lights, making it dark and frightening to soak alone at night, and the footing was unsafe. In the restaurant I wanted to tip a woman from Oita who joined in April and a man from Beppu who was at the bar, but their names weren’t listed on the site, which was very disappointing; if the company publishes employee names, they should keep them updated for proper recognition. I left feeling quite regretful.

The ambience felt very pleasant, the food was delicious and the freshly steamed rice was a highlight; I’d like to return with my parents next time and hope the menu changes rather than repeats the same dishes. Unfortunately, the restrooms on the first and second‑floor lobby lacked functional bidets—either broken or disabled—and seemed as outdated as the guest‑room fixtures, so I’d appreciate new toilets being installed before my next visit.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel, thanks to the friendly and attentive staff, the high-quality hot spring water, and the delicious meals. Although everything was perfect, I didn't find anything to complain about.

I thoroughly enjoyed the hot spring, which is rich and moisturizing, and I was impressed by the POLA shampoo and conditioner provided. However, I felt that the staff were still getting used to their roles, as they seemed a bit inexperienced, especially during meal service. Additionally, the self-service check-in and check-out process meant that I didn't receive a warm welcome.
