The location was fantastic, serving as the perfect base for exploring the peninsula so we could spend entire days sightseeing without rushing back to Reykjavík. The rooms were comfortable, parking was easy and convenient, and we enjoyed being within walking distance of several nearby restaurants. The hot water was somewhat limited, though there was still enough for a good shower. Food options in the area were also limited, especially earlier in the day, as most nearby restaurants don’t open until 11 a.m.; planning ahead and stopping at a grocery store beforehand is advisable if you need breakfast or snacks.

The location and views were great. The bed was uncomfortable, and the WiFi was poor.

The location was spectacular. We stayed in an individual cottage room that was comfortable and modern. Unfortunately, the car park was right in front of our deck area.

“Good location and quiet for a good night’s sleep.”

It was very quiet at night and the beds were comfortable. The cottage could have used some cutlery and a few plates, and two pillows for each person would have been nice.

“Great location for Aurora if you get the weather.”

The location was amazing with a view of the ocean; although it was across the road, it still offered a great view. Two dinner options were very close by. The cottage itself was lovely, with a spacious bathroom, but there was no body wash. We were lucky to see three arctic fox pups playing around one of the buildings in front of us, which made up for the unfortunate wet weather that prevented us from seeing the northern lights. The lack of body wash, an empty holder, and the coffee not being our favourite were the only negatives.
