“Cheap and cheerful, but a restless sleep.”
The price was fair for a last‑minute booking, but the mattresses were a bit too firm; both of us woke up with a rough night’s sleep because the single mattresses were too hard.

Only a 10‑minute walk to Andover’s centre, plenty of parking, and my room was clean and quiet with a nice shower that kept hot water both morning and evening. The staff were friendly, but the kitchen was closed all day – you could only order online or go out, so there was no breakfast.

Checking in was quick and hassle‑free.

Room 108 sat right next to the main door of the hotel wing, and every time someone opened that door a thudding noise kept going through the night, interrupting my stay.

I thought the value for money was great, even though the hotel was a bit out of town. At reception, I ran into a problem with the payment and key‑card machine, so we had to wait about 15 minutes in the sitting area late at night when we were already exhausted. The staff called their boss and the issue was resolved quickly. However, when we checked out there was a strong smell of “pot” in the reception zone – that should never happen.
