The room was beautifully furnished, full of interesting details and everything you could possibly need and more. The kitchen was a delight, with chefs preparing dishes that were truly fantastic. The staff were friendly and warm, making you feel right at home.

The lodge sits on the banks of the crocodile river and offers a great self‑catering option, yet the meals were exceptional and the service charming. The personal touch was evident, as dinner and other meals were delivered straight to your room. We appreciated the nightly fire and the privacy that kept us from mingling with other guests. The rooms were tastefully decorated, with thoughtful touches like safari and birding books, tea, coffee, rusks, and flasks for hot water during game drives. The property is impeccably maintained and its location is superb, just a short walk from the Malalane Gate and surrounded by tranquil gardens that provide excellent game viewing from multiple decks. Everything was perfect, and I’m already looking forward to returning. Special shout‑out to Leanne for orchestrating a magical 50th birthday dinner and exceeding all expectations—what a memorable experience.

Everything was perfect—comfortable beds, stylish décor, superb service (the food was delicious!), and of course the view of Kruger National Park.

The Kambaku River Lodge surpassed our expectations; the manager even gave us a free upgrade to the Mainhouse. The house and garden are breathtaking, and every evening elephants visit our riverside. The staff are super friendly and discreet, though we were sad to leave.
