Extremely disappointing experience. Avoid Sophia Rooms 14 In my experience, this felt like a complete scam. Apparently, arriving even a minute late is enough to lose access to accommodation you have already paid for. Once we arrived, there was no way to reach anyone. Nobody answered the doorbell, nobody picked up the phone, and we were simply left stranded despite having paid for the accommodation in full. Of course, the money was kept, while absolutely no service was provided. This is exactly the kind of profit-driven practice that gives short-term accommodation a bad reputation. Taking customers' money is easy, but providing basic communication and customer service apparently isn't. Extremely unprofessional, disappointing, and unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding this property

“Scam, terrible, read caption below and keep your money”

We pulled up to the address just as the Grand Prix weekend was kicking off, only to get a call from the owner’s friend saying the owner had been rushed to the hospital and the police had sealed the place. Suddenly we had no room and had to scramble for another spot, ending up paying about €60 more than we’d planned. It was a huge hassle and almost ruined our trip, but we finally managed to find a last‑minute room after four hours of searching.

I booked and paid for a stay, only to discover the property was closed because the owner had passed away weeks earlier. It’s baffling that the site still lists a dead‑owner’s place, and I’m still waiting for a refund. This whole situation feels like a cheap trick.

My reservation fell through when we learned the owner had died and the listing was never taken down. It left us without a place to stay and a lot of unanswered questions. The platform should have removed the ad long ago.
