Hotel Bugis Asri

The place is in a good spot, but the toilet smelled awful, was dirty, and the sink was leaking. The towel was tiny—maybe a hair towel—and you couldn’t hang a towel or clothes anywhere.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful; they supplied hot water for tea or coffee, and the hot shower was relaxing after a long day of travel. Finding the hotel was easy—just ask anyone for the Bugisan/Mantri Jeroni number when you’re on Trans Jogja. The hotel itself was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner kept the room cool. I’d love to book again whenever I visit Jogja, and the bakso nearby is delicious and cheap. Thanks to all the staff for their hospitality. The only issue was that the toiletries were incomplete; they only provided a shower soap.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleanliness was poor: there was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom, dirty blankets and sheets, ants in the room, and hair everywhere.

The only thing nice was the staff’s friendliness. The room was dirty and old, with stains on the sheets and no pillowcases, which were also dirty. The mosque’s proximity means the morning prayer call at 4:30 am will definitely wake you up, and the road noise is loud because the street right in front of the hotel is very busy.

“please give cleanliness and comfort to customers”

I only received a bath towel the size of a good morning towel, the floor was sticky and not clean, the toilet pump required a rope, and the plug was loose.
