“Disappointing stay”

The hotel was in a brilliant spot, very close to all the amenities, restaurants, and pubs, just a 10‑minute walk from the town centre, but the road was a nightmare for parking. The bedroom was fine, yet the bed was so uncomfortable and low to the floor that it felt like a blow‑up mattress on the floor; we received clean towels only when we arrived, and none for four days, not even the hand towel in the bathroom changed from Wednesday to Sunday. The front garden smelled rotten because rubbish had been left in the bins and boxes for months, and the neighbour’s garden next door was atrocious, full of rubbish and stank, which completely put us off—I would definitely not return.

“One night stay”

The place was very clean and spotless, but for the price and a shared bathroom, £79 for one night is expensive; other venues would have an en‑suite. The street and area were not very attractive, and there was shabby trash around other houses. It was nicer parts of Newquay to be honest, given the price. The low bed almost broke my back when getting up, and there was a strange smell in the hallway.

I found the room cozy and the facilities spotless, and the host was warm and the spot was great, but I missed that the bathroom was shared because I didn’t read the description closely.

“fab stay, great location and very helpful staff!”
