I’m a few minutes from the city centre, but the public transport is everywhere around the corner in every direction – and the onsen inside the building is clean and spacious. The coffee machine was out of order for an entire week, and a few European‑style fried eggs, rolls or croissants would have made breakfast perfect.

The room was dirty and smelled very strong of closed dampness. We pointed out the issue, but nothing was done; we asked other guests if they had the same problem and they said their rooms also smelled awful.

The rooms are much larger than those at hotels in Tokyo. The location isn’t very convenient; you have to walk fifteen minutes to reach the subway.

The bed was huge! This was by far the biggest room we stayed in across seven hotels, we were extremely comfortable, and the station was just a ten‑minute walk away.
