Hotel Alexandra, Muralto, is set in a turn-of-the-century villa, 10 minutes from Locarno's town centre. The hotel offers Mediterranean and Swiss cuisine, a rich buffet breakfast, and a garden. A bus stop is just 20 metres away, providing easy access to town. The restaurant serves local specialties in a picturesque setting.

This charming, family‑style hotel had a very friendly team, a bit small room, and a breakfast that included an excellent cappuccino.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly, the parking garage was attached to the building, and the rooms were very comfortable and still felt new; we had a very quiet room facing the hotel garden. The buffet breakfast was well stocked, coffee and tea were made to order. The bus stop was right beside the hotel, and the buses could be used free of charge with the Ticino card handed out at reception upon arrival. The riverside promenade was within walking distance. All was fine.

The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was very good, but the street in front of the hotel is heavily trafficked; when the windows were closed it was quiet.

The bathroom was small but very well designed; the balcony had a ashtray. The room faced a noisy road, was well sound‑proofed but the window could not be opened, and there were no power outlets at the head of the bed.
