We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Golden Residence, Anuradhapura. My family and I booked two rooms a couple of weeks ago and stayed for two nights. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The property is very family‑friendly, and our children absolutely loved the peaceful environment. One of the best things about this place is its location — it is situated in a calm, quiet area, yet it is still very convenient, just a short drive from the town, sacred places, and other important locations in Anuradhapura. The rooms and surrounding areas were exceptionally clean, tidy, and well‑maintained. It was clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining the property to a very high standard. The hospitality shown by the owners was truly outstanding. They treated us with great kindness, respect, and care throughout our stay. We were especially grateful because they generously allowed us to prepare Ashtapana in their kitchen for the Kanchuka Puja for Ruwanwelisaya. They were extremely supportive and accommodating, and thanks to their help, we were able to complete everything smoothly while keeping the kitchen clean and organised. In addition, the owners arranged a delicious dinner and breakfast for us upon request, which made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. We also highly appreciated the privacy we had during our stay, as we were never disturbed and could relax peacefully with our family. Overall, we had a very comfortable, relaxing, and pleasant experience at Golden Residence. It is budget‑friendly, peaceful, well‑maintained, and run by genuinely caring people. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable family stay in Anuradhapura. It is truly one of the best places we have ever stayed in Sri Lanka.

Whole lot of lovely, welcoming, interested people. Fun fact: the neighbors have a bakery where you can get fresh bread. Highly recommended! Nothing else.

I was traveling with my mom who has dementia, and the staff were very accommodating. If I travel alone or with friends, I’d choose a different place, so I won’t return. I got what I expected and would recommend the place for a quiet stay with personalized service.
