What a fantastic spot to stay. We loved it, and it was a shame we only had one night. The room was roomy and cozy, and we slept like logs while enjoying the small fan. Having cold water in the room was a nice touch. Dining at the on‑site restaurant and bar was delightful; the food was tasty and the vibe welcoming. It would feel like a snug, warm haven in winter. Meeting Natalie, a fellow South Australian, was a highlight, and we’ll definitely return on our next UK trip.

The location is great, with plenty of parking and on‑site EV charging if you need it. The open fire in the bar area was lovely, especially on the damp, chilly night. The rooms were spacious and comfy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The ensuite felt a bit cramped, but I’m being picky— the shower was great and the towels were fluffy.

The bedroom was clean, comfortable, and the location was good with easy parking, plus a nice bar and friendly staff. The bathroom was functional but looked worn, and the extractor fan made a lot of noise. Breakfast was okay; I asked for poached eggs with my cooked breakfast, but they were solid with some shell still attached. The waitress replaced them, but by the time they arrived I had finished the rest of the meal and was still charged. The waitress also seemed annoyed that I had raised the issue.
