The rooms were spotless and cozy, and I’d definitely recommend them. I stayed during the peak of summer, and the stone walls kept the building cooler than other nearby hotels.

The room was too small for us.

The breakfast isn’t included, but the area is beautiful and I loved staying in the castle courtyard stable area; the rooms were clean, fresh, modern, and innovative. Someone was there, the place felt a little quiet and we felt like the only guests; perhaps a food or sandwich vending machine would help. There was no hairdryer in the room and no hooks for jackets.

The hotel was very tranquil, peaceful, and relaxing. The rooms sit in a large, clean courtyard with remnants of an old castle. The staff at Mahons Hotel offered a courier service to and from the rooms and went above and beyond for us. The food was excellent. Everything was fine for us, though the location might not suit everyone as it is a short distance out of town.

I appreciated the remnants of the castle, but the service was poor, the location hard to find, and there was no breakfast. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and I found hair and eyelashes in the bed, indicating the sheets hadn’t been washed. The room had only one Velux window in the ceiling, no windows at all, and the hallway doors kept banging all night because the closers were not fitted correctly. I can go on…
