The older facility offers generous room sizes. Parking is available for a 10 eur fee, and there is its own restaurant. Trams pass in front to the city center. There was no hot water during my stay, but they compensated by waiving the 10 eur parking fee.

We checked in on Friday and found no warm or hot water in the room. By Saturday morning the issue still hadn’t been resolved, which was a real problem because we had a conference to attend and had to get ready without a proper shower. It put a damper on the whole day. Hot water was finally restored on Saturday night. What disappointed us most was the response: reception and staff offered no alternative or compensation, only telling us to wait.

The breakfast was good, the location matched my needs, the room was fine, and the convenience store was just a walk away. On the first day the housekeeping was subpar – the shower was dirty – and if you stay on the ground floor you can hear soap operas and the receptionist’s laughter all night; on weekends bring earplugs if you hope for any sleep because kids run in the hallways and the music stays loud past two or three in the morning.

The location is very convenient and there is free parking at the hotel. The room had a view of Vitosha. A supermarket is nearby, and a metro station is a 10‑minute walk away.

The hotel has a great location. The bathrooms are clean and close to the international standard. Many Bulgarian showers are not separated from the toilet, so everything gets wet after a shower; here the shower has a sliding door. The hotel’s parking information is very misleading. I was convinced by the listing that parking was free, and other guests before and after me were also told the same, but the desk informed us that starting yesterday parking is paid and we must pay 10 euros in addition to what we paid at booking. I was also unlucky to be on the first floor, and the live music from the hotel restaurant sounded very, very loud over my bed until past 10:30.
