Zawadi Serengeti camp

We spent a wonderful 4 days at this camp. Thanks to all the staff—everyone is very friendly and fulfills any request. Great chef. Beautiful tents with all the amenities. We fell in love with this place. Many thanks to the whole team from Daria and Alex from Russia.

The accommodation and location was lovely. Our first evening meal was good. Our clients stayed for 2 nights 19+21 September. Loved the accommodation and and the location. Shame about the food and attitude of some staff. On arrival there were dung piles, that's expected, which they were told to walk around and were still there in the morning even though there were members of staff sitting on their mobile phones outside. Dinner was served until 830pm and thought that it would be nice to relax with a drink after. Everything was tidied and shut at that time so had to go back to their tent. Breakfast was awful, the eggs weren't cooked, and caused both of my clients to have stomach ache with regular restroom stops during their game drive. When this was bought to the attention of the manager he responded that it wasn't his eggs and nobody else had complained. He didnt help or apologise. The food is nothing like what is shown on booking sites. The packed lunches are very small and not great. This is a real disappointment as this accommodation is full board so expect an adult size lunch. There was also confusion over the booking which was paid and my guests names added. It took a while to get this sorted as the owner is in Spain and the manager said they deal with it there!! Overall a big disappointment. The attitude of some staff.not all.could be better. Plus a drink after a long day's safari would be nice, other accommodation encourage an evening drink to relax with. Unsure if this accommodation has been taken over but I will not be bringing my clients back sorry

“The food is good, very friendly staff and good location.”

The staff is incredible again. We only stayed one night in the family tent, which was super spacious and clean. At night there are many activities, and it’s on the route of migration of different animals. Zebras and wildebeests were not far, and a one‑hour drive to the North West lets you see amazing wildlife on the move. Everything is great, but the same problem with many tented lodges in the Serengeti is water pressure.

Staff amazingly helpful. Ala Carte food was well prepared and served under the stars in the garden. What a great treat!! Tents all looked very new and they were spacious for triple share and very nicely appointed. Beautiful wood everywhere from floors to furnitures. This was the nicest appointed camp of the 3 we stayed at. I hope to be back!!!
