Parking was easy and free nearby, and the host was welcoming and smiley. The house had plenty of character and was close to town, allowing us to walk everywhere. However, we were disturbed quite a bit by lorries thundering along the road, which we hadn’t expected. Grantham had some interesting spots—St Wulfram's church, the chained library—but the main road in town was rather rundown.

The spacious family room was clean, tidy, and comfortable in a grade‑listed building on North Parade, Grantham. Hostess Amy was friendly, kind, and warm‑hearted, and it was a real pleasure chatting with her. The price for the two nights was very reasonable and competitive, and overall the Red Guest House beats other places in Grantham hands‑down. No complaints.

Amy was very welcoming, pleasant, and very professional. The shower was a bit hit and miss, but that was probably due to me figuring out how it worked, not Amy’s fault.

The spot was close enough to Grantham city centre that we could stroll to shops and eateries with ease. Yet the place fell short of what we expected: no extra toilet paper or hand towels in the bathroom, bath towels looked almost like an afterthought, and the lighting in the whole suite was weak. Breakfast was only on offer for one hour in the morning, a window most guests likely wouldn’t be awake for. In short, a cleaning and upgrade would have helped.
