Guangzhou Boyi Hotel

The hotel is clean and there are nearby shopping outlets. The location is in a popular neighborhood, the buffet is very modest and there are only a few fruit options.

Conveniently located, friendly staff, everything clean and tidy. The window was present, but instead of a street view (as I expected) it looked out onto a service corridor. 😅

“I had to leave because of a cockroach in the room.”

Nothing positive to mention. I chose this hotel for a budget option, but it turned out to be a mistake. The hotel isn’t in the most central spot, but I accepted that to save money. Still, finding a cockroach in the room made it absolutely not worth any money saved. I had already stayed one night and had breakfast before the problem became apparent, which was very unpleasant to think about. I left and booked another hotel that was about 2.5 times more expensive just for peace of mind. Before leaving, I also had to check my luggage and belongings carefully in case insects or eggs had gotten inside. The hotel only compensated the breakfast, which was poor handling of the situation, and no compensation was offered for the night itself. I have photo and video evidence of the issue.

“Book somewhere else .”

The place is in a good spot, but a cockroach was found in the bed and the receptionist admitted they can't guarantee a cockroach‑free room even if it's new.

The hotel was clean, tidy, cozy, and the location was excellent.
