“Cheap, but not very cheerful.”
The hotel offered a very reasonable price and an ideal spot next to the train station, close to the seafront. The bed was tiny, the toilet didn’t flush, the fixtures and fittings were desperately old, and the place needed a redecorating.
The location was perfect – in the center, near the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed at Hotel du Nord more than five times and it’s usually very quiet. The hotel is clean, even though it’s old. The bathrooms need some touch‑ups.
The city centre spot and friendly staff were great, and the air‑conditioning was spot‑on! The only downside was the tiny toiletries – a mini soap and a pre‑packed bath set that barely covered a shower. A refillable option would have been more comfortable.
Nothing to say, my stay went very, very well. Their availability was a drawback.
