Matan'ai Villa

We absolutely loved our stay! The villa was beautiful and spacious, with a great kitchen, comfortable bedroom, pool, and garden. They also provided a yoga mat, board game, first aid kit, and a cable extension. We felt like home! The location is peaceful, quiet, and away from tourist crowds, yet only 12 minutes from the USAT Liberty Shipwreck and other dive spots in Tulamben and Amed. The staff were fantastic—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The property offers lunch and dinner options, but we preferred to cook, and the staff helped us get groceries. A perfect place to relax and recharge, especially for divers. Highly, highly recommended! Nothing negative—everything was perfect.

My family of five had a very relaxing stay at Matan’ai villa. We enjoyed modern comforts while still being close to the kampong atmosphere. We swam on New Year’s Eve under a magical moonlit sky, listening to nature and smelling the tropics—memories that will last. The staff, part of the package, were a pleasant surprise and exemplified true Balinese kindness and hospitality. They made sure we had everything we needed despite the somewhat remote location compared to Amed beachfront. They also arranged rental scooters so we could explore more of the surroundings, and a 10‑minute ride brings you to Amed beach.

“Séjour parfait !”

Everything was perfect! The house is very pretty and very clean, fully equipped, and designed so guests can enjoy wonderful holidays with private rooms and bathrooms, a beautiful large pool, and a very spacious and well‑arranged common area. The staff maintaining the house are adorable and very considerate. They also serve excellent breakfasts and can cook good meals on request. The only thing to keep in mind is that the house is a few kilometres from Amed centre, which can complicate travel, but otherwise go without hesitation! You won’t be disappointed. Nothing else to add 🙂.
