The door springs never let the doors close automatically, which was a bit annoying.

The check‑in was a nightmare; the front desk clerk seemed clueless and had to call management on his cellphone, even attempting to double‑charge my room. He might be new and need more training, and I wasn’t the only guest to voice this complaint.

I liked the breakfast and the friendly staff, but I was disappointed that the pool was closed.

Breakfast was decent, but it would have helped if there were trays to carry food back to the room; also, there were ants in the room.

The hotel was close to our location and offered good food options, but it felt outdated compared to other Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at before. The pool was green and unusable, and the night clerk was absent from the desk both when we arrived and when we needed an extra towel—he was sprawled on a couch in the cafeteria, supposedly helping other guests. We even had to go into the cafeteria to get his assistance the second time. The first day’s breakfast was delicious, served by a friendly and very helpful woman, but the second day’s service was poorer, with a younger staff member, warm milk, and less enthusiasm. I chose this hotel for its reputed service and higher cost, but it wasn’t worth it.
