The room was clean, but everything was self‑service, which probably explains the low price; it didn’t seem possible to relax outside as shown in the photos or to view the night sky from the room.
Even though no staff were present the whole time, they still got back to me at night when I called, so I felt fine despite their absence. It isn’t a deal‑breaker, but the remote setting means you’ll see plenty of frogs and geckos, and getting to Ishigaki Port takes about a 30‑minute drive, so you need to budget an hour for the round trip—though the drive does let you enjoy the island scenery.

The facilities were comfortable and the response to issues was quick.
The early check‑in and late check‑out fit my schedule and kept the price reasonable, which I appreciated. I had been warned there might be insects, but finding a huge beetle‑like cricket in the bath was over the line, and with no staff on site, anyone who hates bugs will have trouble getting help.
Despite the hassle I caused them, the staff handled everything with genuine sincerity and I’m only grateful to them—thanks a lot, and I’ll definitely choose them again when I return to Ishigaki. They sold water, but I think it would be much more convenient if you could pick from a range of drinks, like a vending machine does.
