The kindness of Doña Blanca and Mr. Iván’s willingness to clarify concerns. The neighborhood gave me a sense of insecurity, but nothing bad happened even though one night I walked from the Malecón at 10:30 p.m.; maybe it’s because I’ve lived in very insecure cities.

The room itself was pleasant – clean, decent size and comfortable enough for a short stay. What really threw me off, though, was the location; it felt far from the main attractions and a bit inconvenient for getting around. Overall, I’d stay for the room but look for a better spot next time.

The bed was solid and surprisingly comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel. Nothing else really stood out, but I didn’t have any complaints either.

The hotel sits in a great part of town, close to shops and restaurants, which was a big plus. Unfortunately, once the lights went out the street noise became pretty loud, making it hard to drift off. A solid location, but you might need earplugs at night.
