The place sits in a great spot and checking in was a breeze. Unfortunately, the Wi‑Fi never worked, and calling it a “Bed & Breakfast” feels misleading since there was no breakfast at all.

The location is fine and the window view is nice, and the bed seemed comfortable enough. I suspect it might be my own fault, but the noise level was higher than expected—windows offered no sound insulation, so I could hear conversations outside word for word, and cracks in the walls probably amplified it. Loud cars passing by made it hard to sleep. There was no shower gel, barely any toilet paper, and some areas were quite dirty and dusty.

I appreciated the location and the staff helped out when my phone wouldn’t make calls, even arranging a taxi for my departure. I enjoy the Barbican area and the Admiral MacBride Pub. The room suited a single person and offered a marina view; the bathroom was clean with a good hot shower. Yet the rug, curtains, blinds, and a damaged wall inside the wardrobe were dirty and needed repair, which lowered the overall feel. Breakfast at the Rise and Grind on the waterfront was a highlight.

The location was solid. The room itself felt worn out and didn’t justify the price for the three nights we stayed.

Being so close to the sea front and the activities was great, and the harbour views were amazing when waking up, without being disturbing if you want a quiet stay.
