The rooms are big in the dead centre of Taipei, so you’re very close to a lot of stuff on foot, and there are tons of good food spots nearby. The beds are large and the hostel offers good privacy. If you’re just going out all day sightseeing, partying, etc., this is perfect. It was a bit dirty and not very sociable.

The biggest plus of this place is its location, practically right in the center, everywhere is close and the staff is friendly, but that’s about it. It’s fairly clean for such a busy hostel. The biggest downside is the comfort: the 12‑bed room is noisy because people keep coming and going, so it’s hard to get a moment of peace. The beds are long and wide, but the mattresses aren’t the most comfortable for me. The whole stay depends on the roommates, and no one can guarantee who will be there or how many people will share the room. For a short stay of a few days, it’s bearable. The kitchen has a fridge that’s quite large but jammed to the brim, so it’s hard to fit anything in; a second one would help. Overall, it’s doable for a few days.

The location is good and the staff were nice, but the toilet is too far from the room.

It’s cheap, but the toilet is far away. It’s a bit hard to put clothes, underwear, shoes, etc., when you’re showering.

The environment is okay, and there are many facilities nearby, plus it’s close to the Presidential Office and Ximending. The staff are friendly and explain the surroundings. The bed is a bit old and makes noise when you sit on it. What worries me more is that there’s no lockable storage near the bed; there’s only a very small safe for your phone. Renting a lockable locker costs extra and is refunded after checkout. Also, the hostel doesn’t provide slippers, so you have to bring your own. The bathroom ceiling is slightly low. The distance to the MRT and bus is a bit far but still within an acceptable walking range.
