It’s a quiet, relaxing spot, ideal for escaping the city. The hotel sits about 900 m from Songkhla Beach, perfect for a run before the sun gets hot, and it’s roughly 2–3 km from town—some might find that far, but I think it’s just the right distance: far enough for peace, close enough to avoid feeling stranded. I was initially concerned about the bar/pub next door, but it never played loud music, so I slept soundly. Breakfast is simple, mainly local dishes; there’s not a huge variety, but I prefer a few good options over a mediocre buffet. The food was excellent and I looked forward to it each morning. One surprise was that the room came with an electric stove, a frying pan, and a pot, which was nice, but there were no plates or utensils, which was confusing—maybe I was supposed to request them, but I didn’t, so I’m not sure. Other than that, everything was great.

The room was spacious, with large, comfortable beds and a big balcony; we also liked the large koi fish pond at the entrance. The western breakfast selection was limited, and we only discovered at the end of our stay that bicycles could be rented. The staff were friendly but could have been more proactive at check‑in, for example by informing guests about bicycle rentals or which days markets are open.

The bed was firm and comfortable, and the room felt spacious. Breakfast, however, was terrible – very limited options, stale toast and bread, a lot of processed meats, no salad, and only over‑ripe bananas for fruit. Staff were friendly but English communication was hard and different people gave conflicting information. Towels were old, floor mats were torn. The hotel is a 10‑15 minute walk to the beach and you need a Grab or taxi to reach the old town, but that worked out fine.
