Breakfast was wonderful, offering a wide variety of dishes. The free casino play was a nice perk. We went to a concert at Darien Lake, and the drive was short and easy. We would have preferred a parking spot a bit closer, as the lot is across the street.

The room was clean and spacious, and we were staying for a concert, so the drive to the venue was close. The way to reach the hotel is a bit odd: you take an escalator to the second level, walk a few halls, then use an elevator to your floor. I also found it strange that they offer free play to check out early—if someone is paying $150 for a night, why try to rush them out? Additionally, there was no soundproofing at all; we could hear people walking above us and in the adjacent room.

The place is in a good spot and the bed felt very comfy, plus the room came with a fridge. However, there was only one microwave for the whole floor, the breakfast was subpar, and when we arrived at 7:15 am the juice hadn’t been refilled. The eggs were rubbery and both my husband and I got upset stomachs within 20‑30 minutes. The staff were unfriendly, even sleeping at the desk instead of welcoming guests. For the price I expected a more upscale experience, but I would rate this as a 2‑star hotel and will choose another place next time I stay overnight in Batavia.
