“Could have been better!”

Breakfast and dinner were good, and the bed was comfortable. The furniture in the room was shabby and outdated, and the room didn’t look entirely clean. The shower area could use a small shelf by the sink for toiletries. Saturday night was noisy outside. The young people needed a bit of fun, but we were unaware it could happen and wanted peace and quiet. The car park could use a tidy‑up. There was plenty of coffee in the room but only two tea bags, and no spoons or milk.

“Best forgotten”

Parking in the town centre was convenient, but breakfast offered no cereals or fruit, and the “full Scottish breakfast” was awful and mostly inedible.

The place is in a great spot and parking is easy, so that’s a solid plus.

“Not good value for money - worth half the amount charged”

There wasn’t much to praise, only free parking, but the car park felt like a rubbish dump. I was exhausted and the room wasn’t very clean, which didn’t help. The food was bad, so I skipped breakfast after my dinner and went somewhere else. The staff were short‑staffed.

“Would be a good hotel if they played a little more attention to cleanliness”

The spot was convenient and the staff were courteous and helpful, but the fly‑tipping area behind the hotel was a real eyesore, with old beds and other junk dumped in a corner, and there even seemed to be dog food or something meant for vermin.
