I got to try the gel, which was cool, but it let ants crawl in from the corner—nothing I cared about, though.

I arrived late because of traffic, but the staff handled me politely, and breakfast—especially the homemade fried rice—was delicious; everywhere else was spotless and comfortable.

I stayed here before a trek up Mt. Torii, and even though it was midsummer outside, the air‑conditioned rooms were comfortable; the fridge kept drinks cold, and the view of Mt. Torii, the horizon, and the seaside sunset was beautiful; the toilets and shower area were clean and easy to use.
