“Girls weekend in paradise”

Came here for a girls weekend to rest and recharge. Banyan tree Bintan is a beautiful well kept property with amazing views and the best hospitality. Every detail was well thought out and we have arrived back home feeling super rested and relaxed. All the staff were so welcoming and the small details like the turn down service and room amenities made our stay all the more special, you really only need to arrive with swimwear and a change of clothes! Had an amazing facial and massage with Thalia at the resort spa. Have to give a big shout out to the buggy driver Kasir, he was super friendly and helpful. Bonus treat was seeing monkeys right outside our villa. We were sad to leave but will definitely be back. Nothing!!

“Wonderful”

Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were great across all three restaurants—Treetops, the Cove, and Thai. They catered to my vegan needs, and the room decorations and surprises from Darwin and Lilik were fantastic. The buggy staff and the pool attendants by the beach were incredibly helpful. The only issue was the hotel next door playing loud music that could be heard on the beach and by the pool, which detracted from the Banyan Tree experience.

The breakfast was very generous, even including champagne. The house’s equipment and size were excellent, and the bed in front of the window was our favorite spot. The white‑sanded beach was almost empty during the day. No complaints.

“Relaxing, loved the break. Shame so little sunshine”

The villas were lovely, the pools superb, and the rainforest backdrop stunning. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, truly a credit to the resort. I appreciated having so many places to hang clothes, a rarity these days. The villa felt a bit dated in some spots; a super‑king mattress would better cover the large wood base so you don’t knock it. It was cloudy and sunless most days because of the bush fires in Indonesia, a situation locals said was beyond the resort’s control—Singapore was the same, cloudy every day, no sun.

“Paradies mit kleinen Fehlern”

The resort felt like paradise with only a few minor flaws. We stayed in a Forest‑Villa with sea view, very spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and highly motivated, especially FAUZI who was exceptional. Watching monkeys, a varan, bats, and the turtle release was unforgettable. The beach was beautiful, gently sloping like a bathtub, and a buggy was available at any time for longer distances. We ran into some trouble with our whirlpool; the repair took a while. Unfortunately there was still some plastic in the sea, and the beach staff could raise their sensitivity to this issue. More trash cans on the beach would also help tourists avoid leaving litter. SPA prices were unfortunately high.
