The garden surroundings were actually very nice. I had booked a room with air‑conditioning, a non‑negotiable requirement, but they put me in a room without it because of work noise during the day. After complaining, I was moved, yet other advertised amenities were still missing from the room. Moreover, unlike other hotels, they wouldn’t add a bed for an extra guest. I decided to leave and go to a hotel that has all that is advertised plus extra beds. I asked for a refund, and the receptionist claimed refunds were impossible due to credit‑card payment. I knew that was false and confronted them, so they eventually refunded the unused amount. I shouldn’t have had to fight for it and should never be lied to; the business practices are very poor and dishonest.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making it easy to get around and even arranging an Uber to the airport when I needed it; however, my room lacked hot water, and the cold Nairobi weather made showers uncomfortable.
