“Super”
The building’s refurbishment was stunning—modern, comfy, with a generous breakfast and careful attention to detail. No complaints.
“Geweldig verblijf! Nooit gedacht dat een gevangenis zo mooi kon zijn ☺️”
The location was very original, blending old and new elements nicely. It was truly fantastic.
“Uniquely Quirky but Sadly Disappointing”
This quirky hotel, a converted old prison, is genuinely unique and the housekeeping keeps it clean and tidy. However, there were several issues: 1. We were told about the amazing restaurant, but the reception didn’t mention it was closed on Sundays and Mondays; we arrived on a Sunday and had to find another place to eat. 2. The rooms are very small, so if you travel with someone you’ll have to be close; the shower and toilet are separated by a see‑through door and you can hear everything. 3. To get from reception to your room you walk two blocks, and moving between hotel areas often requires leaving and re‑entering the building. 4. The underground carpark is inconvenient because you must exit via stairs, which is hard with luggage, and at €54 a night it doesn’t feel worth it. 5. Breakfast is a standard continental self‑service with no à la carte option.
“Extrem empfehlenswert”
The atmosphere and service were uniquely good.
A great house, would definitely return. Everything was high‑quality and the staff were friendly.
