The castle museum near the lake is excellent. There should be direct access to the lake.

A really great place – just note the museum and paperwork office are only open on weekends while the hotel runs weekdays, so you’ll likely have it to yourself during the week. On weekdays you can wander the museum freely and the administrator may give you a tour if they feel like it; we tried to schedule one on arrival day but were told the tour had already taken place, so the next day with a different admin would be needed, which didn’t fit our travel plans, though my partner didn’t mind. I highly recommend it, especially with the wide river nearby – bring your SUPs and you won’t regret it. The suites have an infrared sauna, but the cheap hydro‑massage cabin only works as a shower. Breakfasts were good and dinner was delivered to the room about an hour later than requested. P.S. booking through the platform was cheaper than the official site. The hydro‑massage cabin doesn’t work, only functions as a shower.

Unusual experience—living in a castle and simultaneously in a museum. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged so we could feel truly immersed in the medieval era, while still enjoying modern comfort.
