Casa Antiga delivers pure quality—every element from the design to the antique furnishings feels genuine. The bed and linens are supremely comfortable, and the bathroom fixtures finish the look. The family that owns and runs this place spans several generations; one cousin handles interior decorating, treating the rooms like her own home with meticulous details, another manages office operations, and a third oversees real estate. The elegant aunt is on-site to greet guests personally. I adored my blue room, which featured an enclosed sitting area where I could enjoy breakfast overlooking the garden. Located in Cedofeita, the spot is ideal, surrounded by cool design shops, a wide range of restaurants and bars, and even an Auchon grocery store just down the street. There’s also a lovely first‑floor living room open to all guests, complete with a TV, drinks, and books. Many places look great in photos but are run by corporations with cheap IKEA furniture, and nothing works as well as Casa Antiga. It’s the real deal—authentic quality backed by dedicated people. I’ve already stayed twice on this trip and will return on my next visit. Nothing was lacking; everything was great.
