The lodge is pretty, close enough, and the building is old with a lovely view; the room itself is nice and the mattress is just right—firm, not too soft. When I arrived, the Wi‑Fi was down, so I had no connection. The receptionist was not very friendly; since it’s a family home, she isn’t at the front desk all the time, which isn’t a big deal but she could have told me how to reach out if I needed anything. The bath towel was thin and small; the toilet paper wasn’t great; the sheets were clean but there was too much fabric softener and the scent was strong; the sheet was thin and had a tear, though the comforter was good. The room lighting was weak and there was no hair dryer, so I couldn’t dry my hair in the cold weather. Breakfast was weak: basic coffee, milk, papaya‑watermelon, two kinds of juice; ham, mozzarella, fresh cheese; bakery cakes and all the bakery breads; no scrambled eggs. Cheese bread was okay; the gentleman there was friendly.

The staff, especially Ladinho, gave me a warm welcome and handled everything with care.

The house looks lovely, the front desk is friendly, and the area is well‑located with plenty of nearby amenities. As someone who works in architecture, I’d suggest a few touches to make it feel even more welcoming: use warm lighting instead of bright white bulbs, add bedside lamps, provide a seat or stool in the bathrooms, and a luggage rack in the room—small hotel details that really matter. I didn’t dislike the place per se; I just mentioned these points. The bathroom in my room was spacious but would benefit from better lighting and a seat, like a clean, well‑maintained stool for future guests.

The place was super clean, and the breakfast in the morning was spot on.
