Grassroots Wayanad, Valley-view Tents

Being surrounded by trees was a real highlight - it felt like we were right in the middle of nature. However, our excitement was short-lived, as we soon discovered that the rooms had lizards roaming around, which wasn't exactly ideal, especially for our female guests. Not exactly the kind of wildlife encounter we were hoping for.

The scenery here is pretty great, but that's about where the positives end. We had booked twin beds for three people, but they gave us a king-size bed that was woefully inadequate, and then added a floor bed which wasn't much help. The real issue was the millipedes - they seemed to think our bed was their playground, and their bites left nasty rashes for days. To make matters worse, when we tried to cancel our third night, they told us it was non-refundable, which felt pretty unfair.

We booked for two nights but ended up staying three - it's a little oasis in Wayanad. The staff really went above and beyond to make our stay special, and the food was incredible, made with fresh local ingredients every day. Thanks for the memories!

“New year holiday”

The positives here are that it was comfortable, the views were great, and the weather was nice. They also had a bonfire on New Year's Eve, which was a nice touch. The food was good too. But, the staff, particularly Mahesh, were incredibly rude and seemed to have zero courtesy - that really put a damper on our stay.

This place had everything going for it - a fantastic location right on top of a hill, amazing food, and stunning natural surroundings. The staff and other guests were great too. It really felt like we could have asked for more - it was that good.
