“Arrived to find no room and no help”
We had a confirmed reservation and confirmed our check‑in time with the hotel on the morning of arrival. The hotel assured us everything was fine and that the 24‑hour reception would be expecting us. We arrived around 4 pm, only to be casually told at reception that there was no room available. We were asked, with clear surprise, whether we had “checked our email,” supposedly sent earlier that day cancelling our booking due to “technical issues.” This explanation later changed to “system problems” and “overbooking,” which strongly suggests poor reservation management and likely selling more rooms than available. Even more concerning was the way the situation was handled. When we asked for a solution, we were met with indifference and asked what we expected them to do if there were no rooms available, with a dismissive attitude that offered no real help or accountability. As a result, we were left without accommodation in the middle of Armenia in the late afternoon, forced to find and pay for a last‑minute alternative at significantly higher cost and considerable stress. This was a completely unprofessional experience with zero responsibility taken. Situations like this should never happen, and at minimum the hotel should take responsibility and compensate guests for the inconvenience and additional costs caused.
