“Never again. disgusting.don’t believe the photos”
I wouldn’t have stayed if I could have found another place with three kids and a refund. Everything was terrible: the bunk‑bed mattresses were thin, like sofa‑bed mattresses, stained, and the springs poked through the duvets so the covers didn’t fit; the vertical blinds wouldn’t open or close fully, letting light in all the time and only opening by pushing them back; the bathroom light didn’t work, only the mirror light was on, so I couldn’t see in the shower; there were spiders. From the outside it looked like a squatters’ place; the front door wouldn’t open properly (seemed forced open during a burglary) or close, letting cold wind in, and the balcony door was the same. The bar area was disgusting: a tall fridge with cans of pop and beer, the door wide open, looking like dried milk at the bottom; glasses were filthy and cloudy. The two reception staff were scruffy, one looked homeless, and we had to pay a £50 damage deposit (which was refunded on checkout). Parking round the back of the building cost £10 and wasn’t secured, and there was a list of extra charges for stained bedding, missing bedding, etc., including a £5 charge to replace one teaspoon. I wish I had photos, but my camera was broken.
