The setting and surroundings of San Clemente were nice, the family room was spacious, and the parking was covered and free, yet the atmosphere felt a bit gloomy and impersonal, especially compared to the lively area around.

The room was nice, comfortable and clean, but I booked because of early check‑in, late check‑out, and high‑speed private Wi‑Fi; on the day of arrival I was denied early check‑in, the Wi‑Fi stayed down the whole stay, and late check‑out was also denied—very disappointing since those were my only reasons for choosing this hotel. I feel scammed and am very disappointed. When I checked in a young man, clearly under the influence of drugs, was hanging out in the parking garage, smoking and passed out for several hours; as a single female traveler I felt unsafe alone in the garage while unloading my bags (there was no luggage cart, so I had to make many trips). I was also uneasy about my car being parked there—he caused no trouble, but at night the area seemed to be a local spot for unhoused people and smelled horribly of urine.

“Not much to say.”

I didn’t like anything about the property. The towels were dirty, the floor‑mat towel had a blood stain and was wet when I arrived, as if it had been used. For the two‑day stay no cleaning services were performed, no towels were provided, and I had to ask for one. I probably will never stay there again.
