Chalet Madlein

The breakfast area was a mess – plates were left on the tables and crumbs everywhere. Some clean dishes were set out, but the table still looked like a crumb battlefield from the previous guests. I couldn’t tell which coffee cups were clean, and the staff just tossed croissants into the basket with bare hands; no jam was offered. At night the hotel was empty; if the room key had failed, it would have been a real headache.

The room was spacious and comfortable, but the reception was a ghost town. We asked for a breakfast box because the buffet wasn’t open early, but it never arrived – we had to fetch it ourselves. The box was barely worth it: a glass of water, a cheese‑ham sandwich, and no butter. The on‑site breakfast was subpar, and they didn’t restock items when they ran out.

The rooms were spotless, cozy, and had all the essentials, giving off a modern alpine vibe that felt both stylish and welcoming. The location was spot‑on – a short walk to the lifts and right in the heart of Ischgl, so everything was super convenient. Honestly, everything was perfect!

Great central spot and good value; the breakfast was plenty. The bathroom was a bit rough around the edges with broken tiles, though it stayed clean. I’m not a fan of carpet in the room, and the bed was a bit short for taller folks. Parking at Hotel Madlein was easy and hassle‑free.

The place was nice, clean, and in a great spot. The staff were excellent, but the main hotel could use some improvement.
