“Very accommodating”

The rooftop jungle view was stunning, and several restaurants were within walking distance—there’s a Taqueria, a cafe that serves acai bowls, and a Mediterranean spot right in front of the hotel. The staff were friendly and cooperative, and they stocked each floor with plenty of drinking water. My room was roomy, with AC, a nice shower, large windows, and a comfortable bed. I definitely recommend staying here!

“Ten stars for service, amenities, location, and vibe.”

The place was stylish, private, comfortable, lush, and fairly quiet. Nicholas was very friendly and helpful, even suggesting a walking path for my morning birding where I spotted three new species. Check‑in and check‑out were smooth, and communication was quick and clear. Parking was easy and secure. Because the hotel is tucked away from the street with no obvious signage, it felt restful and private the whole time. The beach club across the road was also comfortable and friendly, with reasonable prices, no minimum spend, tasty breakfast, and a fantastic happy hour. Other restaurants and cafes nearby were totally satisfactory. My room had everything we needed, was clean and well stocked, and the soaps and shampoos smelled amazing. The pools were perfect, and we were visited by a coati and a gray‑collared becard (another new bird for me!). One night the nearby hotel had some late‑night partying, but if you’re traveling without earplugs that’s on you lol. Overall I was extremely pleased with Sunset Tulum and will definitely return if I’m ever in Tulum again. The luxury for value cannot be beat. On the downside, some maintenance work was done in nearby rooms during the day, but it didn’t last long or start very early, and we were mostly out and about. Also there was a brief power outage, but again it happened during the day when we weren’t using any power and it was back on by the time we returned from our outing.

“Appartement au milieu des arbres, au bord de superbes plages”

The location is close to a superb beach. The room’s terrace is dangerous with just a simple rope, and the rooftop pool is not maintained.
