The rooms are superb, and we booked one with direct pool access. I expected more individuality at breakfast for this hotel class; the staff seemed disengaged, perhaps to cut costs with less trained personnel. The outdoor area was neglected or had minor flaws.

The room was spacious, very pretty, and the bedding impeccable; breakfast was great. The hotel’s exterior still needs work.

Clean with a nice view, and the staff arranged rose petals in the bath and on the bed for my girlfriend. It’s not close to shops or any store.

Nothing about this hotel was good. It falls far short of a two‑star property, let alone the five‑star description, appearing rundown, dirty, with staff who struggled to communicate in English, and a location far from anything. Every morning there was loud noise from long‑tail boats, and a local taxi driver warned that swimming near the hotel was impossible because of strong currents and sharks. The rooms weren’t properly cleaned on arrival, floors were sticky and wet, the toilet leaked continuously, and a tank made noise. They changed to dirty linens, then changed again when we pointed it out; towels were frayed and lamps rusted. The outdoor area was filthy and dilapidated, trash everywhere because bins were full and never emptied. Only eleven sunbeds existed, many broken or ragged, and half the umbrellas were damaged or tied with rope. The pool was filthy, with loose tiles in the water and on the edge, leaking water, and rotting planks on the sun terrace that should have been removed. A two‑metre slope down to the river was unsecured, posing a danger to children. The gym was outdated, dirty, and rusty, making anyone reluctant to use it. The marketing claimed a five‑star hotel with beautiful seating areas and a café, none of which matched reality; the coffee shop was closed, the outdoor spaces were terrible, and the food served in a restaurant by friendly but incompetent staff was poor and unhygienic. This is misleading advertising bordering on fraud.
