We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this lovely country house, perfectly positioned near Rouen, Évreux, and the gardens of Giverny, offering a peaceful setting exactly as we wanted. Grégoire was friendly and helpful throughout, and I highly recommend it.

“A lovely stay - in spite of the record June heat”

The unique building has lovely grounds, secure gates that close overnight, and each room comes with a remote to open or close the gate. Breakfast was excellent with a nice selection, the beds were comfortable, and the remote location is very quiet. Communication via WhatsApp was easy, and a single oscillating tower fan gave a small breeze for better sleep. A small fee of 10 Euros per bag covers laundry. The lack of A/C can make it very warm, though it cools at night. The stairs can be tricky for those with mobility issues, and more electrical outlets would help—perhaps a few power strips. A second fan or a ceiling fan would aid on hot nights, and window screens would keep insects out.

The room décor, the building’s beauty and surroundings, the hearty breakfast with good products, and the attentiveness and kindness of Aude and her husband were all outstanding.

The breakfast was hearty and high quality, a real pleasure to start the day that way. Aude is a fantastic host, and we felt warmly welcomed right away; throughout our stay she ensured we had everything we needed. No complaints.
