I was able to stay at a reasonable price. The location is close to the bustling downtown of Maebashi, so after a night out you can walk back immediately, which was great. No particular complaints.

First off, the location and low price are the main draws. There are business hotels around, but because it’s a dormitory it’s naturally cheap. It’s only about a 5‑minute walk to Maebashi’s nightlife district. Unmanned check‑in can be a mixed bag, but if it keeps the price down it’s fine. After checking in, remember to jot down the access code that comes out. Basic amenities can be purchased for a fee. Unfortunately, the facilities are minimal. It feels more like a property that was turned into a guesthouse than a place built for guests. The bed was probably the eighth in a row, with one toilet and one shower. Other equipment had exposed plumbing, and there were no sheets—just a sweat‑wipe mat. The stairs were steep and slippery, making it hard to bring large luggage up. There was a noticeable step from the bedroom to the hallway, and some beds had an AC unit directly above them, which could blow air straight into the room. With such minimal equipment and a lack of safety considerations, it’s hard to rate this as a proper lodging.

It was a convenient spot within walking distance of Maebashi Station. No particular complaints.

This is my first review on this site. I want anyone looking at this to believe that all previous reviews of this place are true… It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. I don’t think I’ll ever stay at an unmanned property again. Here are the points that make me not recommend it: 1. The room always smells like sewage, as if you’re in a waterway, and the odor stains the clothes. 2. There is only one toilet and one shower, which is very inconvenient. 3. The soundproofing is the worst I’ve ever seen; you can hear people walking on the road and the vibration of passing cars. 4. The old type of front door has no personal lockers, so it’s not reassuring at all. 5. The stair rail is very unsafe, almost decorative, and doesn’t function as a handrail.

Despite the high prices of nearby accommodations, this place was cheap. The walls are thin, so you can hear traffic outside and inside the room. The bed is simple, so moving around makes noise that can disturb sleepers. There’s a power outlet and light on the bed. The kitchen exists but only has basic cooking equipment; no seasonings. You can bring your own food because there’s a microwave, electric stove, rice cooker, and kettle, but using all of them can trip the breaker. The building is narrow, with only one toilet and one shower, so timing can be tough. We rented a whole room for the family, so it was comfortable this time, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a single woman. There’s no safe for valuables. Towels and toothbrushes can be purchased if needed. The area around Maebashi Station is inconvenient for dining and shopping. It’s a plus that a dumpling shop opens early in the morning.
