The room’s AC worked well and the bathroom was decent, but the beds were hard and lumpy, a strange odor lingered, and parking was absurdly difficult—getting in and out of a spot felt impossible.

Everything was bad: the place was filthy, the TV was broken, the ice machine was in a poor spot, the back of the toilet was damaged, toilet paper was protruding from the peephole, the microwave was almost on the floor, and the floor itself was dirty. The unit’s buttons were falling off, the curtains were stale, and I paid $250 for it.

I’ve never had such a terrible stay at a hotel. We booked two nights at Monterey Fairgrounds Inn but had to leave the next day because the place was unbearable. The room was filthy, the surroundings felt unsafe, and the bed was so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep. The price was far too high for the condition, so I’d advise paying a bit more elsewhere to avoid this horrible experience.

The door was broken and didn’t lock properly; people knocked on it late at night. The location was dirty, and the room contained trash left by previous guests.

The spot is great, and the directions were spot on, but everything inside looks like it's been through a lot; a full remodel would make sense.
