The spot was spot‑on, but the room was dirty and even after calling for a clean the situation didn’t improve. Prices in Venice are always steep, but at least it was clean.

Only the proximity to Piazza San Marco mattered, yet the room was cramped and filthy. The bed had a fabric headboard that was a nightmare for an asthmatic like me, plus uncomfortable mattresses. Behind the headboard a wall full of oil stains, a low sink that bumps your head under the mirror, no wardrobe—just a tiny, awkward IKEA coat rack, a noisy air‑conditioner that kept you awake, no mini‑fridge, a broken TV, and it’s not suitable for a B&B.

The location was super convenient for the Biennale and the host was incredibly kind, but the soundproofing was nonexistent and it wasn’t exactly spotless.

The place was good in terms of location, yet the building’s upkeep was lacking with wear everywhere. A TV that doesn’t work (apparently not new), a broken toilet seat (old complaints suggest it’s a recurring issue), air‑conditioning that we’re told not to use, no wardrobe or bedside table, no fridge even for water bottles, no manager or reliable contact, no Wi‑Fi, a bathroom heater that can’t be used. In short, it’s a business that only capitalizes on its location. Consider it if you don’t mind those shortcomings; otherwise, skip it.
