“Due to the grubbiness of the room would think twice about visiting again”

Location and vega bar. Room was dirty/ grubby. Not tea or coffee making facilities in room. No led light remote in room 237. Bowling was closed and wasn’t informed beforehand

The bedding was excellent, the service was very good, and overall everything was really well. It’s very close to the train stations and public transport, making it easy to get around, though it might not be the best part of town (even though it’s very convenient). A few items were missing in the room: the bathroom mirror light didn’t work and there was no toilet brush. Overall, nothing that significantly impacted the stay.

“Disappointed. Room smelt, couldn’t not breathe, had to spray perfume because of this as reception wouldn’t do anything,”

I’ve stayed here before and I know how nice the rooms can be, but we didn’t get a good one this time. The reception staff were dismissive. Our room smelled like old food, a strong beefy odor, and there was no way to open a window to ventilate it. When I asked about swapping rooms, they said we “get what we paid for.” I wasn’t asking for an upgrade; I just wanted a decent room for my friend’s birthday and I paid about £200 for the stay. The window faced the bins, and the room was very small compared to what I usually get at Yotel for that price, which was extremely disappointing. The receptionist suggested housekeeping come and look, and they sprayed something, but it didn’t help. Housekeeping claimed they couldn’t smell anything, yet they seemed to have a cold. Because of this, my friend and I had to spray a lot of deodorant and perfume to mask the weird smell. I have severe asthma, and this triggered a flare‑up. We were supposed to stay two nights but had to leave after the first because I couldn’t breathe in that room. Very disappointed and I won’t stay here again.

“Great stuff”

Everything was great. The only downside was that it was close to all the amenities.
