“Sehr gute Wahl, etwas abseits vom See - kann ich nur weiterempfehlen”
The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, the food was good, and the facilities were great. The only downside was that the shower was pretty small.
Our stay at the Gasthof Pisl was wonderful. Nestled right in nature, the inn keeps its authentic, cozy vibe. We felt right at home from the start, especially thanks to the host who was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely time!

I spent five days at the Gasthof Pisl and was completely satisfied. The family‑run atmosphere felt like home, and the hosts were very helpful—especially when I arrived by train and needed a lift to the lake. Breakfast was plenty, everything was clean and comfortable. The only suggestion: a bit more variety in the meals, like more chicken or beef options. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant and the hospitality heartfelt.
The food was decent, though sometimes missing tomatoes or cucumbers and you had to ask for them. The staff were helpful, but the owner didn't speak English, only his wife did, so communication was a bit tricky. The rooms were large, roomy and comfortable. Breakfast could have had more variety, especially more veggies. Other than that, no complaints.
This place is a dream for motorbike riders. From the Wörthersee, it’s the perfect launchpad for scenic rides through Carinthia, Styria, Slovenia, or even Italy. A hearty breakfast buffet fuels you for the day, then you can cool off in the big pool and grab drinks from the nearby fridge. The family‑run restaurant serves great food, and everyone—family or staff—is friendly, hardworking, and courteous. After a day on the road, you head to a roomy room (or back to the pool) and unwind.
